Ryan Novak was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. He lived in Greensboro until going to Western Carolina University for two years then transferring to Appalachian State University where he achieved his BFA in graphic design, in 2013. Ryan now calls Charlotte, North Carolina home and has been working on Lowe’s Companies, INC. UX team since 2017. As a designer, he is inspired by complicated elements being successfully reduced to simplistically designed elements, ultimately providing the same result, but with an easier more pleasurable solution. “Design isn’t about the final piece, it’s about the blood, sweat and tears you drew to achieve that final piece.” We look at design a lot of times as just this final piece that sits in front of our eyes, but often forget that behind this work: passion, failure and determination are the backbone of what makes this piece so beautiful.
"Never fall in love with an idea. They're whores. If the one you're with isn't doing the job, there's always, always, always another."
— Chip Kidd
"Genius is the ability to reduce the complicated to the simple."
— C.W. Ceram
"A vision is like a dream—it will disappear unless we do something with it. Do something big or do something small. But stop wondering and go on an adventure."
— Simon Sinek
